The True Christian
In my last blog, I told you about those who thought they were saved, but only if they change and have genuine Christian faith. Now let us look at the true Christians.
First we must proclaim Christianity and live by example doing that. The conduct of Christians is proclaimed throughout the world with truly genuine Christian testifying.
Mathew 19:16-21:
16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”
17 So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
18 He said to Him, “Which ones?”
Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ 19 ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
20 The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?”
21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
We must defend our faith as anyone to contest the word of God. We must be ready, so you should be reading the Bible and find the scriptures in Jude 3: 3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
You want to demonstrate yourself as a Christian as separate from the world Luke 8:15 15 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.
You must share your faith with friends and family. Think about it - you are a Christian about to go to heaven and you cannot share this information with friends and family? You may suffer for Christ, when times get rough like a the death of a family member or friend. When this happens, go to your church and join in fellowship and prayer, Philippians 1:27:
27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.
Do not hinder the gospel of Jesus Christ, never when you see someone talking about the salvation of someone should you interrupt and remember that there are 66 chapters in the Bible, do not ever speak outside of them.
Do not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You must, when opportunity presents itself, share without fear. Romans 1:6...6 among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ;
Don't believe the preacher is the only one to preach the Gospel. You have friends and family to preach the Gospel to, so do not believe you must get them into the church - preach to them wherever they are Romans 1:16: 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek..
