The Real Truth

I heard from Congress the words of the Bible as a woman congressman spoke these words from Leviticus 20:13: "If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They should be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them."

Another congressman immediately chimed in "that's Old Testament". This Congressman's statement is correct that it is Old Testament. But...I hate to burst his bubble, that homosexuality is still a sin in the New Testament.

1Corinthians 6:10 states, "Do you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." Now fortunately, in this age of grace, 1Corinthians 6:10 states as such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were just justified int he name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of God.

You see Mr. Congressman, the sin f homosexuality is in the New Testament. But if the homosexual repents, as some of the Corinthians repent of their sin, and cease from doing it - taking Jesus Christ as their Savior - they will be spared and enter the Kingdom of God!
